The World of Inkjet Printers has definitely changed over the years!   There once was a time where you needed several hundred dollars just to get a basic printer.  Now, through multiple changes in technology, you can get an outstanding canon inkjet printer for under $50.

There are many features you need to review in a printer before you simply purchase one.  Today, however, many printers are good enough for simple home projects.  If you are looking for a new canon inkjet printer, be sure to look for these 3 critical features.

First, can you refill the ink?  If you can’t refill the ink, the cost all of a sudden gets a lot higher.  Going down to your local Walgreens can cost as little as $10 for a refill, where if you go to the store to buy more ink, it can get up to $60-$70 just for a basic printer.  It is vital to buy a printer where you can refill, and refill cheaply.


Second, does your printer have a wireless connection?  Today, many devices will need to connect to your printer.  You aren’t going to want a wire running all throughout your house getting all of these devices set up.  Look to see if it has wireless, if it doesn’t, invest a little more to get this feature, it is really worth it!

Lastly, what is the resolution?  Yes, you want an inexpensive printer, but that doesn’t mean you want one with bad quality.  The rule of thumb is to always get a printer with at least 600 dpi (dots per inch).  Anything less than that and you are begging for the poor quality of your printed items to stick out like a sore thumb!

You are going to find that there are a lot of brands of printers out there, but there really is only one brand that has outlasted the rest.  Do yourself a favor and make sure you are purchasing Canon Inkjet Printer.  You can buy another brand but it just isn’t worth it.  Why save $10 just to need to buy another printer is just a year or so.  Also, buy online anytime you can.  Don’t be compulsive and just go down to the store and get one.  You will pay a much higher rate online than you will anywhere else.  Also, if you are buying online, be sure to look for a coupon code.  This is one of the easiest ways to save an addition 10% on your purchase.  There is always a place at the end of the checkout process to add a coupon code to your purchase, be sure to look for it!
